SEYA Shipping – Mustafa Sofuoğlu Maintenance and Refurbishment Project

A comprehensive dry dock maintenance and renewal project was successfully completed by MBM Ship Tech for the vessel M/V Mustafa Sofuoğlu, operated by SEYA Shipping. Within the scope of the planned docking period, critical ship systems including hull structure, tanks, cargo hold systems, mechanical and hydraulic equipment, steel outfitting, and piping lines were serviced and renewed in accordance with international maritime standards.

Main works performed:

• Dry dock operation including SA2 and SA1 standard sandblasting and three-coat protective hull painting application

• Surface blasting and protective coating works completed in all cargo holds

• Ballast tanks blasting and coating systems renewed

• Shaft and propeller systems maintenance and repair carried out

• Periodic maintenance and overhaul of ballast and fuel pumps performed

• Full vessel steel thickness measurements conducted and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) inspections applied

• Structural steel outfitting and renewal works completed

• Sea chest and overboard valves maintenance and repairs performed

• Port and starboard anchor chains renewed

• Sacrificial anodes replaced to ensure cathodic protection

• Cargo hatch cover pistons serviced and repaired; hinge connections renewed

• Hydraulic valves of hatch cover systems maintained and serviced

• Hatch cover pad adjustments completed; No.3 hatch hinge maintenance performed

• Ultrasonic tightness tests applied on cargo hatch covers

• Renewal works performed on ballast and fuel piping systems
